A maple leaf resting peacefully on cement.
I made this painting fall of 2018. Fall is my favorite season in Michigan, As soon as the crisp air hits my nose after a sweltering summer, I am full of anticipation and excitement! Come August I plan my entire fall because I don’t want to miss a thing, cider mills, hay rides, fall hikes, pumpkin spice lattes, and everything else that screams fall.
It all comes in a flash and ends just as quickly. That’s why I painted the perfect maple leaf on the cement ground. Maybe it’s the first day of fall, maybe it’s the last, but here it will always sit reminding me of the joy fall brings.
